Launch of "Happiness is a Place" - A Travel Photography Book

"Happiness Is A Place" tries to capture the beauty of Bhutan and its people as seen through the lens of 12 photographers who traveled to the country in May 2015 with Leica Akademie Travel Photography Workshop. But while the trip was mainly for travel and photography, the group also saw an opportunity to give back to the community, particularly a village school, Dhur Primary School, that caters to 96 primary students from far-flung villages.

The school itself can only be accessed through a dirt road, its buildings need repair, and more than that, the children need basic school amenities to be able to study well. The group, informally called Bhutan Collective, then coordinated with the DPS principal to help prioritising the school requirement.

Through the sales of the book, 100% of proceeds and all donations will go directly towards funding the DPS' requirements.

The book will be available at Leica Stores in Singapore from October 9, 2015 onwards.
